PROFIT-SHARING PLAN.
DTTNEDIN MASTER TAILORS.
APPROVED BY THE UNION
(By Telegraph. Own Correspondent.!
WELLINGTON, this day.
The "getting together" movement of master tailors and their operatives has been very successful, and as the outcome a profit-sharing scheme has been prepared, and may be put into operation at an early date; it has met with the approval of master tailors and the union, and now all that is required is the official endorsement of the Master Tailors' Association.
Another proposal under way is the establishment of a school for the training of apprentices. The proposal is that the employers support the school, and that the Government be asked for a subsidy.
