ZANE GREY.
NAME NOT rOR RACEHORSES. "WE MUSNT OFFEND HIM." (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The name of Zane Grey will not figure in race books at trotting meetings in New Zealand. That is the effect of a decision unanimously arrived at by the Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association. The name appeared in a list of names of horses submitted for registration. "Oh, we can't have that name," objected one member, "it might offend Zane Grey, and we mustn't do that. He is a good advertiser of New Zealand." Other members evidently concurred, for the name was ruled out without further comment.
