A DOG'S JOURNAL
6 o'clock a.m. I don't feel well. I'll bark awhile to amuse myself. I hear the maid coming down stairs with the strap. She couldn't catch me if she tried a week. Look! she's fallen over a dozen things already. ° 7 o'clock : The family is getting up now. I had better behave, or Mary won't take me for a walk. I want to go to-day, especially td get even with that dog next door. Oh, those fleas! S o'clock. Well, here comes my breakfast. Its about time I got bigger meals than this. I'm a big dog. There goes the maid tumbling down the stairs. It would serve her right if she broke her neck. 9 o'clock. Everybody seems to be bujsy. I would like tot go into the kitchen, but I don't dare while the cook's in there. All there is for me to do Is to lie on this new bedspread. It looks comfortable enough for a snooze. I 10 o'clock. j
