MINERS' SCHOLARSHIP.
NATIONAL SCHEME. (Official British Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, February 27. A capital sum of £150,000 has been set aside under the Miners' Welfare National Scholarship scheme, under which, when it is in full operation, 3.) scholarships will be running concurrently. The scholarships are available for workers in or about coal mines, or their sons or daughters over seventeen. They will be held at Oxford. Cambridge and other Universities in England and will provide for an outfit allowance of from £40 to £.50. Maintenance grants of from £150 to £200 annually " will be provided, and grants to cover fees of approved courses.
