BEAM WIRELESS.
Tests Attain 42 Words Per Minute. ANOTHER POST OFFICE TRIAL, j I (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 25. Though considerable publicity has been given the Amalgamated Wireless Company's announcement that the beam test was most satisfactory, Marconis have not made any announcement beyond circulating the message of Amalgamated Wireless. It is understood that a 24-hours' continuous achievement averaged 42 words per minute. The Australian Press gathers that Marconis do not admit that there were ever any deficiencies at this end and claim that their stations at Grimsby and Skegness have always been ready , to be handed over. I Marconis, replying to inquiries, said I that in the very near future they would ' ask the Post Office to make another I official test with a view to the early taking over of the stations. Experts here suggest that apart from Australian readjustments, the shortening of the days in Australia is bound to have a beneficial effect on transmission and reception.
AUSTRALIAN END.

Amalgamated Wireless, Limited, announced that during the past three weeks the beam wireless stations had been thoroughly adjusted and retested with satisfactory results.
