SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY. February 24. At the Sydney wool sales there was a good demand, the market being firm at late rates for all descriptions. Comebacks and crossbreds were in particularly stronj; demand. Greasy Merino sold to 33d. MELBOURNE HIDES. MELBOURNE, February 24. The hides market is generally firm at late rates. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE. SYDNEY, February 24. The following are to-day's quotations on the Sydney produce market:— Wheat. —4/5 at country stations, equal to 5/ ex truck Sydney. Flour.—£l2 5/. Oats.—Tasmanian White Giants. 4/; Algerian, 3/9. Maize.—African. 7/4; local, 7/3. Potatoes.—Tasmanian, £10 to £11: Victorian, £14. Onions.—£6 to £7. Quotations at Adelaide are:— Wheat.—Growers' lots, 4/11 to 5/; parcels. 5/1%. Oats—2/4 to 2/6. (Received 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Latest quotations are: —Wheat. 5/0% to 5/1% per bushel; flour, £12 10/ per ton, cash 5/ concession: oats, milling, 3/4 pei-' bushel; barley, English, 4/; Cape, 3/6; potatoes. £7 10/ to £9 per ton; onions, £3 5/ to £3 10/.
MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. The February series of wool sales have concluded. The best features of the previous sale were maintained, and under keen competition good clearances were effected at full late rates. CHICAGO WHEAT. (Received 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, February 24. Wheat for delivery in May is quoted in Chicago at per bushel, for July at $1.32% and for September at $1.30.—(A. and N.Z.)
