ARMSTRONG'S TEAM. DRAW AT MANAWATU. PLAY FOR A DAY ONLY. (.Br Telegraph—Press Association.) I'ALMKRSTON NORTH, Wednesday. The match between Manawatu ami the Melbourne Cricket Club was confined to ~no day as the result of wot weather, and was declared a draw. The weather uas threatening at times. The wicket, however, rolled out well, favouring the batsmen. Manawatu batted all the morning, and well into the afternoon. They declared with 17"2 runs for the loss of eight wie•kets. When stumps were drawn at six o'clock, the visitors had made 124 for four wickets. An outstanding performance for Manawatu was the play of Young, who scored all round tlie wicket.
