HEARING OF EVIDENCE RESUMED.

The committee of inquiry set up bv tlie Government resumed its sittings this morning. Further evidence from Mr. L)e Feng, organiser of the P.A.T.A., was heard. Other witnesses were MrJ. P. Piifre. a representative of Messrs. Potter. Birkes, and Co., London, and Mr. A. <;. Carey, grocer, of Oamaru.'
It is probable that the taking of evidence will occupy all (hi? week. Some evidence from ( hristchiirch and Auckland witnesses will be tendered towards the week-end.
