She ha# hundreds of Carol"# love | letters and threatens to use them, but j she denies any hatred against Carol or that she is desirous of revenge. She says she would not be doing a [ mother's duty if she didn't uphold iMircea's rights. It is terrible, she states, to live 300 yards from Carol and • never to be able to talk with him. "If j Carol came back to-morrow." she remarked, "we could be happy again." j
