Tn about four months it is anticipated the last link in providing an unbroken j highway between Taranaki and Auck- | land, the bridge over the Mokau Riv-.r. I will be completed. This is the view of Mr. T. Ball, di-'- ! triet Public Works engineer, who is in I charge of the work. The construction j of the bridge was estimated to occupv j two years, but only 12 months have j elapsed since the driving of the first I pile.
