BOYS' DANGEROUS PRANK. RAIL PLACED ON LINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. At 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday, a velocipede carrying some railway officers ran into an obstruction on the main south railway line, near Balclutha station. The obstacle consisted of a rail, 3ft 10in long, which was placed right across the track. It was later ascertained that this rail had, on the same day, been thrown I clear of the line by an earlier train. A police investigation disclosed that some misguided boys were responsible.
