WOLF GROWS LAMBLIKE.
BULGARIA AND HER NEIGHBOURS. SOFIA, September 1. In reply to the protests of Greece, Rumania, and Yugoslavia against the depredations of her bandit bands on the frontier, Bulgaria has sent out a most conciliatory Note, in which there is expressed a keen desire to guard the peace of the Balkans. The Bulgarian Government declares it is doing its utmost to check the mischievious activities of the comitadji bands which it declares have wide ramifica tions outside Bulgaria. Co-operation be tween the four countries concerned is urged, with an expressed readiness or the part of Bulgaria to submit the question to the League of Nations, and abide by its decision.—(A. and N.Z.)
