To-day at our weekly Weetfield fat stock market we penned fat cattle to the number of 489 head as compared with 449 at last Wednesday's sale, comprising 292 steers, 192 cows and heifers and five bulls. Choice and prime quality cattle were firmer, secondary were lower. Extra choice ox sold to £1 14/ per 1001b; choice and prime ox, £1 11/ to £1 13/; ordinary and plain ox, fl 5/ to £1 10/; prime young cow and heifer beef, £15/ to £1 9/; ordinary cow beef, £1 to ~£l 4/; plain and ro'ugih, 12/ to IS/; extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £14. 10/ to £15 17/0; heavy prime steers, £12 15/ to £14 7/(5; lighter prime steers, £11 10/ to £12 12/0; light prime steers, £9 to £11 7/fi; small and unfinished steers, £5 to £S 17/6; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers,, £9 5/ to £10 10/; heavy prime cows and heifers, £7 15/ to £0 2/0; lighter prime cows and heifers. £0 to £7 12/G; other killable cows, £4 10/ to £") 17/0; old and boner cows, £1 10/ to £4 7/0; bulls, £1 10/ to £5 5/. A consignment of 10 extra choice quality steers averaged £15 11/10; twenty-four nice quality steers from Mr. John Mclntyrc of Puni, £12 IS/; sixteen from Mr. 11. Kelland, Waipipi, averaged £13 18/.
