QUARREL OVER CARDS.

COLOURED MAN KNIFED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A stabbing affray occurred to-night on a timber boat, the West Conob, which is besthed at Taranaki Street wharf. A number of men were playing poker, when a quarrel arose and a coloured man named Brigano, aged 20, single, was stabbed in the right thigh. The police are investigating.
