To lay up for an indefinite period, the ITnion Company's steamer Kaitoke was taken to an anchorage in the harbour yesterday. Her crew have been paid off. TIIE SITTANG. Under charter to the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, the steamer Sittang is scheduled to clear New York on Wednesday next for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, and Dunedin. THE KING MALCOLM. Cringing a cargo of basic slag from Antwerp, the new motorship King Malcolm is expected to arrive at Auckland on Saturday. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. WAIOTAPU SAILED. In continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the Union Co.'s steamer Waiotapu sailed from Auckland for Wellington. Melbourne, and Sydney shortly before midnight last night. THE CANADIAN CHALLEXGEE. Advice received by the local office of the Canadian Government Line states tbat the steamer Canadian Challenger was dispatched from Halifax on May 20 for Auckland and other New Zealand ports. She is due here about July 10. MAIMOA COMING. Cal'lo advice reports the departure from London on May 29 of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Line steamer Maimoa for Auckland «nd Wellington, via Suva. Kn route from Sydney to Vanconver, tue T.'nion Company's Royal mail motor liner Aoransi is expected to arrive at Auckland on Monday morning next. Having been delayed for about three hours owing to the absence of several members of her crew, the White Star liner lonic left Auckland for Wellington at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. This steamer is to clear Wellington for Southampton and London on June 10. THE KAIRANGA. On arrival from South Australia, via Wellington, to-morrow morning, the Union Company's steamer Kairanga will berth at the Queen's wharf. . Hence she proceeds to Portland to complete discharge. From Portland the Kairanga is to go to Edithburg to commence loading another cargo for New Zealand ports, including Auckland. NOTICE TO MARINERS. Information i», given by the Marine Department that the existing watched light situated at Cape Foulwind will next month be converted to an automatic nnwatched light. I-aden with phosphate, the motorship Gisla was expected to arrive at Auckland about 4 o'clock this afternoon. She is from Tempa, Florida, and comes to the local agency of Messrs. The coastal steamer Tiroa was expected to arrive from Gisborne to-day. She was to berth at the King's wharf. MARAMA FROM STDNE3T. Bound for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning next, the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Marama is scheduled to leave Sydney to-morrow alternoon. THE PORT MELBOURNE. An expected arrival at Auckland about the end of next week is the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Melbourne, from London. Her other discharging ports are Wellington and New Plymouth. THE PORT PIBIE. With case oil and general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Pirie Is expected to arrive at Auckland from. New York on Friday of next week. TEKOA IN PORT. For further loading for West of England ports, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Tekoa arrived at Auckland from Gisborne this morning. She went to tie Queen's wharf. From Auckland the Tekoa is to proceed to Tlmarn, Lyttelton, ana Wellington to fill np. TEE PORT CURTIS. An expected arrival at Auckland early this afternoon was the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Curtis from New Plymouth. This steamer, which has come to Auckland to complete her cargo for London, was to berth at the Central wharf. Heather, Roberton and Co., Ltd., advise that the Port Curtis is to sail finally from Auckland on Sunday. THE PORT HARDX. To the agency of the Farmers* Co-opera-tive Auctioneering Co., the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hardy was expected to arrive at Auckland from Waikokopu about 3 o'clock this afternoon.
