* * ■ EDEN AND WAITEMATA. NEW LYNN'S BIG INCREASE. ■■ Including Maoris, the One" Tree Hill road district has a population of 717 C and the Tamaki road district 3431. A notable increase is shown in the population of the New Lynn town district, which has 1067 residents, or 82 per cent more than at the 1921 census. Takapuna. with 6044, shows an increase of 54 per cent. The administrative county of Waitemata, which has had at least one town district cut out of it since the last census, i has gained only 377 residents. The figures for the Waitemata county, exclusive of boroughs and towi. districts, show males numbet 5048 and females 4354, a total of 9402. The total Maori population of the county is 220.
