(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WBLLEfGTON, this day. The figures covering the past year's working of the tramways and electricity departments of the City Corporation, were made available for publication by the Mayor to-day. Briefly, the reports may be summed up as follow: — The tramways finances are considerably affected by the granting.of the concession of a.universal long-distance fare of 3d; the corporation bus fleet has not bo far paid its way; the electricity department is upon a sound footing. CHEISTCHUBCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHKISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The Christchureh Tramway Board has given notice that it is its intention to apply for an Order-in-Council permitting it to use one-man safety cars on the Christchureh tramways. ■
