The figures covering the past year's working of the tramways and electricity departments of the City Corporation, were made available for publication by the Mayor to-day. Briefly, the reports may be summed up as follow: — The tramways finances are considerably affected by the granting.of the concession of a.universal long-distance fare of 3d; the corporation bus fleet has not bo far paid its way; the electricity department is upon a sound footing. CHEISTCHUBCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHKISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The Christchureh Tramway Board has given notice that it is its intention to apply for an Order-in-Council permitting it to use one-man safety cars on the Christchureh tramways. ■
