There was an exceedingly large attendance at a meeting of representaj tives of the dairy industry held this i morning at the instigation of the Manawatu and West Coast Dairy Companies' ! Association, to hear an address by memI bers of the Dairy Produce Export .Control Board on the question of absolute control. Prior to Mr. Grounds' address, the [.chairman (Mr. Broadbelt) expressed regret at the accident to Mr. Gardiner (organiser of the Tree Marketing League), whereby the latter was unable to be present. Mr. Dixon (Makowhai), at this siage rose to protest against the executive's action in deciding to allow only one sido I of the subject to be discussed. The chairman, replying, said that if the Marketing League wished to put its views before the factories under the association, the executive would ba given an opportunity. Mr. Grounds then addressed the meeting on the JB j board's policy, replying to criticisms,
