CRIMINAL RECAPTURED.

CLEVER GAOL-BHJSAHEtt. BRISBANE, March IS. After a sensational struggle, one of the prisoners who escaped from Townsville gaol on February 22, was recaptured. — (A. and N.Z.) Two notorious criminals who were not named in the original cablegram, escaped from Stewart's Creek gaol, Townsville. The men cut through the iron bare of the cell window with a small piece of a hacksaw, twisted a rope from their bedding, made it fast to the remaining iron bars and departed.
