Keatley Iβ; De Launay 18, v. Osborne 13; Keys 13, v. Sykes 13. This leaves eight players still in the competition, Brake and Denison ■with I two lives, Keys, Walker, De Launay, Robertson, Keatley and Clarke with one.

Fifth Round. The annual tournament to find the champion of champions for the Auckland centre was continued on the Carlton green this morning, when the fifth and sixth rounds were completed before lunch. The eight competitors who had survived the four rounds at Ponsonby and West End yesterday were all incorporated into one section, and in accordance with the rules the two twolifers, one from each green, met this morning, with the following result: — J. Brake (Takapuna) 18, v. W. Denison (Dominion Road) 13. Denison led off well, and at the eighth head he was 10 to 3, but the veteran of Takapuna overhauled him, and led by 14 to 13 at the eighteenth. The next was disastrous to Denison. for he was lying two and had the misfortune to push in one of Brake's bowls for shot. Brake added two more on the twentieth, leaving Denison the problem of getting 4 for a tie. Finding it impossible, he' used hie last two bowls in an attempt to burn the head, but failed. C. H. de Launay (Epsom), 28. v. H. A. Robertson (Onehunga). 10. Robertson started off with a 4. and led at the sixth head by 6 to 2, but de Launay gradually caught up, and, with, the help of four 4*9 and three 3's, he piled up a heavy score. The feature of Robertson's play on Thursday was the remarkable accuracy of his drives, but they did not come off with sufficient regularity this morning to win. \V. H. Keatley (Rocky Xook) 21. t. Irving- Clark (West End) 8. Keatley led all the way, drawing with great accuracy, and he showed his capacity in one head by gently trailing kitty for three. M. Walker (Auckland) 18, v. L. J. Keys (St. Helier's) 17. This game was a close contest throughout, with a slight advantage to Keys in the score until at the eighteenth head he led by 17 to 12. Walker then got two couples, and in the last head he put his bowl right on the jack for a tie. Keys spent two bowls in trying to get rid of it. This required an extra head to settle it. just as it did yesterday, when Walker tied with Clarke, but this time Walker put his first bowl on the jack and then drew foi I position. Keys had a nice second, jnsl in the draw, so he went right at th< head with his last bowl. It rubbed ofl j his own and picked off Walker's shol j without disturbing the jack, but a mea i sure between the nearest two bowls, a i yard away, gave the merest fraction in j favour of Walker. ; In the senii-finala Peatley (Rocky ! Xook) beat de Launey (Epsom) 20 to 10. j Maxwell Walker ("Auckland) 18 beat J Blake (Takapuna) 15. ; Walker and Peatley play the finaL Sixth Round. De Launay (Epsom) 20, Denison (Dominion Road) 8. Keatley (Rocky Xook) 21, Brake (Takapuna) 16. M. Walker (Auckland) a bye. I The winners led all the way and the ' matches were marked by consistent j drawing. ] Seventh Round. Walker plays Brake. .. De Launay plays Keatley. &£&&
