AUSTRALIAN WARSHIPS.
GOVERNOR-GENERAL ON FLAGSHIP. SHIPS OPEN AT WEEK-END. The Governor-General, Sir Cha-rles Fergusson. was entertained at luncheon •by Commodore Wardle to-day. Last night a Navy League ball was given at the Town Hall by the Navy Leajrue in honour of the officers of the visiting warships, and there will be another ball to-night for the petty officers and men. Sixty officers ■will leave for Rotorua to-morrow morning, and 250 petty officers and men will entrain for the thermal region on Monday, all going as guests of the Government. There will be an Association football match to-morrow -between teams from the Australian and Xew Zealand squadrons at Carlaw Park, when mu3ic will be provided by the bands of the Diomeile and Dunedin. Officers and men have been invited to attend the cycle races at Blandford Park Stadium tomorrow evening. The three Australian warships will be open to the public at the week-end, the Delhi and Adelaide, out in the stream, from 2p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and the Sydney, alongside Central wharf, on Sunday and Monday. The Sydney will also be open to-morrow afternoon to juvenile members of the Navy League.
