BINNED WOOL.
A DISPUTE SETTLED. *■ • For a considerable period a dispute has existed between woolgrowers - and wool buyers because the latter have claimed the right to deduct lib per hale on every, bale pf binned wool. The growers -recognised the demand was warranted when the binned wool was repacked into eecond-hand packs, but not |T . when new packs were used. For some time past the New Zealand ■■-. Farmers' Union has been endeavouring ,to Lave the matter adjusted. Becently " the secretary of the union (Colonel J. Tow) feceived a communication from ' the president of the New Zealand Woolbrokef s . Association stating that the dis< pute with the Wool Buyers' Association regarding its demands for lib per hale -tare on binned- wool had been satisfactorily settled, the buyers having agreed "to * withdraw their demands.
