' In precticaliy all sections tnel-e an over supply. Tills was particularly so in longwools,- und in the nnal ot the market these fcreeds were very hard to sell. The demand Tor Border, Lelcr.sTsrs was spiritless throughout, but for English I,cice3ters it was fair until buyers' wants were supplied. A comparatively small entry of Romneys met with weak demand. Corriedales slackened over the final part, there bain? an excels entry, hut good Corriedales sold really well throughout. The best demand of the day was for Soujhdowns, which met' with a strong: market until neai 1 the conclusion. Hattbreds also sold well until- purchasers' wants were supplied, but Merinos and Shropshlres met with meagre Gortipetitlon. Passlng-s were Heavy' in the longwool breeds, but most ot the entry was Sold subsequently. All breeds showed a distinct drop in value on last year. Prices ranged as rollows: —English. Leicester, 2g-ns to 9sgns; 2g-ns to lOg-ns; Corriedales, 2g-ns to !sg-ns; Border Leicester, 2-g-nS to 6&ns; Shropshire, 2rns to 7igrns; Southdown, sJ?ns to lojgrns; hairtored, 4(rns to BJgns; Merino,'2?ns to Siyii's; • Ryeland, , sgns to 7g-ns. The sale of stud sheep will be held to-day.
