The question of spanning the Waitemata by a bridge, eanie before the Otabulm .Borough Council last evening. The three questions on the- circular were dealt with separately, the council's opinion being as follows:—(1) Do you'favour the construction of a bridge' across the Waitemata? Yes. (2). Do you agree that the time is o-ppdrtune? No. (3) Will you support" the efforts of this or any committee or organisation to further the project?' Not at present. The final meeting' of the Australian champion, Harris Horder, and New Zealand's champion, Phil O'Shea, at Blandford Park Stadium on Saturday night. (Ad.) .
