KERBSIDE PUMPS.
At a meeting of the Otahuhu Borough Council several applications for . the erection of kerbpide pnrnps were recsi.vexl, and it was decided to refer the matter to a special committee.to report on the whole question. This report was received at the council meeting last night and wrs adopted a<; follows.:—-(1) That all tanks for pumps be en the owner's property, and that the council refuse any permits to place,the same under the footpath: "(21 that owners be notified t-U'at trade goods, cars. atlvert : semnt.«. etc.. must , , not be displayed on the rood war or footpath; (3) that no permit, lw granted to , place pumps less than 200 yards apnrt; (4) that no app lc.-uit 'c granted a -permit for more than two pumps on the Earn? premises: (iii t/at the annual charge for c.tc'.i pump be £10.
