MOTOR COLLISION CASE.

DRIVERS FIXED. (From Our. Own Correspondent.). TE AWAMUTU, Thursday. A case arising out of a collision between a motor lorry and car in Arawata Street on January 23," -was. heard in the local Court to-day before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., when the police proceeded against the lorry driver.. C. S. Bridge. The charges were, firstly, of negligent driving, and secondly,, failing.to keep to his correct side of the road.

■Very lengthy evidence •was ' heard, after which his Worship summed up at length. The substantial fact lie said, that defendant was on his -wrong side and had not exercised due cave. For this he' would ■be fined £3 and ordered to pay .costs. As the second charge was embodied in the first it would be dismissed.-

The driver of the car, Jack Martin, pleaded guilty to being an .unregistered driver and was fined £1 and costs. \
