WEEK-ENDS AT THE SOUNDS.
TAMAHINE'S TRIPS. THE STEWARD'S WAGES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Arbitration Court has reserved its decision on the interpretation of the Marine Cooks' and Stewards' Award, ■arising out of the steamer Tamahine's week-end Sounds excursions. The question asked is whether the stewards are entitled to the excursion rate of 1/3 per hour for the whole period of the ship's absence from Wellington, or only for the time of the excursion to Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sounds, because the trips between Wellington and Picton are in the ordinary week-end itinerary of the Tamahine.
A second question is whether the carriage- of ordinary passengers affected the position.
