SUMMER MEETING CONCLUDES. REREMOANA WIN'S CLASSIC. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WANGANUI, Saturday. The weather was fine for the second day of the Wanganui Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting, and the attendance showed a bis improvement on that of the first day. There was a strong wind blowing dowu the straight. The track was in good order, an<d the racing was again of a high standard, tne fields being larger than on Thuvsday. The Favourite Beaten. There were thirteen starters in the Okoia Hack Handicap. Indian Sage was sorted out as the most likely, winner, and was ■entrusted with over twice as much as Bonhomme, which was second iv demand, while Catcall was afc=o solidly supported. From -a good start llang'i Sarto jumped to the front, and led out of the straight from Lady A nst rather, Anklet. Kilmiss, Catcall, and Indian Sajre, with Bonhomme I last. At the six furlongs Kangi Sarto was ! two lengths ahead of Anklet, with Kilmiss and Catcall tog-ether irext, and then came Indian Sage, Bonhomme and De Luxe, with Lady Anstrutlier, which was badly interfered with, last. K:rburn and Bon"homme moved up fast going down the back. At three furlongs Anklet was Iv the load, with Bonhomme close up. and Kilmiss next. Ankilet .was first to turn for home, from Bonuomruo and Catcall. The last-named finished well, and won by a head from Bonhomme and Raiigi Sarto, the latter coming wirh a fine run over the last bit. Kilmiss, Kilburn, Santiago and Indian Pa-ge were all in line next. There was a lot of bumpiug during the race. The stewards ip<|uired into three separate allegation's or interference, aud decided that there was not sufficient evidence to take action. Won by a Head. The six acceptors all went to the post for the Autumn Handicap, for which Glenross, Fool"s Paradise and The Lamb were heavily backed, in that order. Sunshot began smartly and led out of the straight from Fool's Paradiise and Curraghmore. At the six furlongs Curraghmore was in front from The Lamb, with Fool's Paradise next, Glenross being last. They ran in the same order down the back, while at the three furlongs Currajrhmore was three lenigths ahead of The Lamb, with Xovar next, and Glenross wtill last. As they entered the straight Curraghmore led from The Lamb and Novar. with Glenross closing up. In the run home Novar took charge, and Glenross cam* with a great run. the pair fighting out a splendid flnis-h, Novar squeezing home by a head, with CurraJ?hmore a length away, third. Fool's Paradise was fourth, and Tbo Lamb nest. Curragfamore made a big effort to win all the way, but just failed over the last bit. He might have won with a stronger boy up. The Stakes. Deluge and Loveland were taken out of the Jackson Stakes, for which the bracket Reremoana and Lady Cavendish carried over twice as much as Motley, with Tukia £50 less fancied. The quartet left the mark in perfect line, the first to break which was Lady Cavendish, and when they had settled down she led from Tukla and Reremoana, with Motley on the outer. At the half-mile Lady Cavendish was two lengths ahead of Reremoana, with Tukia next, and 'Motley two lengths away last. Crossing the top Reremoana was on the heels of Lady Cavendish, with Tukia close up, and Motley three lengths back. Lady Cavendish was just in front of Reremoana as they bended for home, with Tukia two lengths away, and Motley still last. Reremonna gradually closed on Lady Cavendish, the pair fighting out a splendid finish, which ended in Reremoana getting up in the last stride to win by a nose from his sta'jle mate. Tukia was a length and a half away third, and Motley three lengths back. L. G. Morris, rider of the winner, was suspended for the remainder of the day for careless riding. A Comfortable Win. The withdrawals from the Hurdles were Santiago and Mountail Bell. The public went solidly for San Fera, with Comedy Prince and Sansalino also well backed. Askarl took the load at the sturt and led from Sansalino, San Fern, Ratapiko and Sunny Vale down the back and around the bend. As they raced through the straight, Ratapiko led from Bonny Bill. Suspicion and Sansalino. At the six furlongs post. Bonny Rill was in front, followed by Suspicion, Ratapiko, Comedy Prince, Askari and San Fera. Going down the back. Comedy Prince ran up into third position behind Bonny Rill and Ratapiko. At the bend. Comedy Prince ran to the head of affairs, and led into the straight from Ratapiko and Suspicion, with Bonny Rill next and San Fera close up. Comedy Prince went away in the run home to win by three lengths comfortably" from the favourite which beat Bonny Rill by a short head Then came Ratapiko and Suspicion. Thfi Youngsters. The ten acceptors all went to the post for the Harrison Two-year-old Handicap. Seatown, despite his big load of 9.3, was made a firm favourite, Elthcin being most fancied of the others. Spode and Raukura were also well backed. The first to begin was Spode, followed by Miss Pat, Jemidar and Seatown. At three furlongs, Miss Pat was three lengths ahead of Jemidar, with Elthein, Spode, . Raukura and Polonaise following in order. As they entered the straight. Elthein was up alongside of Miss Pat, with Spode and Seatown handy The favourite gathered up the leaders in the run to the judge, and, with Elthein, went away from the others, the pair fighting out a good finish. Seatown winning by a neck with four lengths between second and third. Miss Pat was fourth, Jemidar fifth and Raukura sixth. A Hot Favourite Wins. There were no withdrawals from the Earle Stakes, and despite the fact he had gone up 131bs in weight, Income was made over £600 a better favourite than Enthusiasm, with Imperial Spark carrying £1 more than Star Ranger. The start was an even one. Bright Day was first away. Star Ranger was in front when they had settled down, with Bright Day, and Income next, and tnthuelasm last. As they ran through the straight Star Ranger led Bright Day, Yoma, Opa, Income and Imperial Spark following in that order, with Enthusiam still last. Opa ran up secpnd at the six furlongs, Star Ranger still holding command, and they were followed by Bright Day, Toma, Income and Enthusiasm. At the three furlongs Star Manger still led from Opa and Yoma, with Bright Day next and Income going well just behind. The first to turn for home was Opa, closely followed by Star Ranger and Yoma, with Income on the outside and Enthusiasm close up. At the distance Income was up with Opa, and drew ahead to win by nearly a length from loma, which beat Opa out of second money by a nose. Enthusiasm was fourth, and then came Star Ranger aud Muraahi in line with Bright Day next. H. Wiggins was fined £10 for failing to keep his engagement to ride Asleep on the first day. Nadarino's Fine Sun. B.enzora and Elysianor were withdrawn from the Matarawa Hack, eleven saddling up. Roburite was sent out a very strong favourite, carrying over £300 more than Argue, which carried a few pounds more than Nadarino, with Athenry next in demand. Nadarino was first to show out, but Argue soon headed the field, Tanadice, Nadarino, Roburite and Nastori being his nearest attendants in the order named. Rounding the Wnd Nadarino dropped back. Argue was lirat into* the straight from Ro-burite, but once headed for home Nadarino came again with a fine run, and cutting down the leaders won by a length from Nastori, the latter beating Argue by a neck. White Fang was fourth and Tanadice next. The Curtain. The meeting was brought to a conclusion with the Farewell Handicap, for which Black Cat was scratched, leaving nine to saddle up. Oration was the popular pick, but Tamatete was also well backed, and there was gr»!d money for Kaiti and Licinius. From an excellent start Licinius, Kaiti, Tamatete and Standard were first to show out, followed by Deluge. They ran in much the same order to the bend, where Kaiti and Licinius were together in front of Tamatete and Standard, and then came Deluge. Civility and Attractive. As they entered the straight Licinius and Kaiti were still together in front, and they had as their nearest attendants Standard, Civility and Attractive. At the distance Civility ran up to the leaders, and finishing in great style she won by a length from Licinius, with Tamatete, which finished well, a nose away third, and then came Kaiti, Standard, Attractive and Oration In the order named.

The Totalisator. The amount put through to-day was £40,250, making £73,590 10/ for the meeting, against £73,809 10/ last year, an increase of £81.
