WEEK-END PICNICS.
The fine weather over the week-end attracted many picnickers to the various bays and beaches. On both Saturday and Sunday ferries and launches were crowded with pleasure-seekers and ■ excursion trains carried people to coun- : try resorts. Milne and Clioyce, Ltd.. held their annual staff picnic on Saturday at Cowes Bay, Waiheke. At mid-day some 750 employees and friends left by the Rangitoto. The big party lunched on board and dancing took place on the deck. When the picnickers arrived at Cowes Bay swimming and running races were held. Dancing also took place in the Cowes pavilion.
