COMPANY REPORTS. WESTPORT-iSTOCKTON COAL. The directors of the Westport-Stockton '' Coal Company report an output for the year of 89,877 tons, as against one of 109,554 tons last year. Trade conditions were not ' satisfactory during the early part of the year, but Improved considerably towards the end, and the company was able to dispose or practically the whole or its accumulated stocks or small coal. The Hume was completed, and put Into operation at the end or September, and since then the whole or the output has been transported by these means. The year's operations resulted in a small profit only, which had been applied towards reduction of the profit and loss account debit balance, decreasing it to &2085 17/2. The directors regret that it is ' not possible to pay any dividends, but it lis pleasing to note, they remark, that their efforts to reduce working costs have produced better results than in 1924, when a substantial loss was recorded.
