WINTER EXHIBITION.

COMMITTEE'S FIKST MEETING. The first meeting of this year's Auckland Winter Exhibition Committee was held yesterday,' Mr. W. W, Massey presiding over a good attendance.. The following committees were appointed:—Finance, Messrs. M. G. McArthur, F. W. Hills, C. Brookes H. Dearsley, G. Finn, and A. J. Stratford; entertainments committee, Messrs. W. J. Lopdell, T. T. Garland, L. Joll and A. J. Stratford; reception committee, Messrs. T. T. Garland and J. MeLeod; catering committee, Messrs. G. Finn and R. Wright; space, buildings, etc., committee, Messrs. R. Wright, W. J. Lopdell, F. W. Hills, J. H. Hutchinson, H. Grierson, A. W. Parker, and S. Edwards; dairying, Messrs. S. H. Barton and G. Finn; district courts, Messrs R. Wright, G. Finn and W. J. Lopdell; advertising and Gates, Messrs. F, M. Hills, A. W. Parker and E. W. J. Bowden; cooking Messrs. S. Hamlin, F. M. Hills and J. MeLeod; needlework, Messrs. A. J. Stratford and J. Heighwav; agricultural, Messrs. John Wylie, S. W. Hills, R. W. Roach and J." MeLeod; educational, Messrs. W. Hill, A. J. Stratford and T. T. Garland; manufacturers, F. M. Hills, V. D. Nalty, J. Heighwav, H. Dearsley and R M. Keesing; photography and art, Messrs. A. W. and Enos J. Pegler. It wa3 decided to appoint an organiser of the primary products section, the appointment and remuneration to be decided by the Finance Committee.
