The Avalon (Auckland) was sailing wel in the lead when she capsized, leaving Betty. (Canterbury) with a commanding lead. . During the progress of the race Peggy (Wellington) and lino (Dunedin) retired, both disabled. The result of the race'was:— - Betty (Canterbury) ... ~1 - - Murihiku (Southland ...... . 2 ' .
