SISTERS OF MERCY.
CEREMONY OP PROFESSION. VOWS TAKEX AT OXEHUXGA. This morning at the Parish Church, Our Lady of the Assumption, Onehunga. the interesting and unusual ceremony of profession in the Order of the Sisters of Mercy was made by 25 young ladies. His Lordship Dr. Liston was celebrant, and was assisted by the rev. rector of Onehunga. Rt. Rev. Consignor Cahill, V.G.. Very Rev. Dr. Buxton. Father McGrath. S.M.. Rev. Monsignor Ormond. and Rev. Fathers O'Doherty and Kennedy. The church was crowded with friends and relatives of the Sifters, many of whom are of Auckland families, but the majority from Treland. The beautiful ""Missa de Anjrelis" was sung by the Sisters' choir, and the incidental music was a treat for lovers of Gregorian music. Over 100 Sisters were present, and all were the recipients of hearty congratulations from the crowds of friends assembled to do honour to the occasion. This afternoon a reception of the friends of the newly-professed Sisters was held at St. }fary"s Convent, Ponsonby.
