BUSH FIRES BEATEN.
FIGHT IN NEW SOTXTH WALES. SYDNEY, January 14. Through the efforts of hundreds of firefighters, the bush fire in the Condobolin district was subdued. In many instances men in motor cars had to race ahead of the flames, which travelled at a rate of 20 miles an hour, in order to save homesteads. The damage is extensive.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
