A PARIS EXHIBITION.

SOME HANDSOME PROFITS. CONTRAST TO WEMBLEY. (Received 12.30 p.m.) PARIS, January 14. In contrast to Wembley, last summer's exhibition of decorative arts handsomely rewarded the promoters. The net profit is estimated at over 1,000,000 francs, and remains for distribution by the Paris muncipality and the State after reimbursement of the city's 15,000,000 francs subsidy. Through the influx of visitors the coffers of the municipality have been augmented, and show an increase in revenue amounting to 50,000,000 francs during the exhibition, compared with the corresponding period of 1924. Previous exhibitions have invariably led to a deficit. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
