MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.

' In the absence of Mr. A. C. A. Sexton. Mr. W. T. Cos occupied the chair at thf last meeting of the Town Board, the other members present being Messrs. McCallum, Fawcett, Gallaher, Cox, Whyte, and Liipton. Massey Road.—The following tenders were received for regrading and footpath work on Massey Road: Burnslde Bros., £ 839 9/ : P. Joblin, £ 795 2/ ;H. and G. (Blank. £794 3/4. The latter tender -was accepted. Fire Risk.—The Homai Ratepayers' Association requested the board to take action to prevent the grass on Jellicoe Park becoming ignited by sparks from engines. The matter was left in the bands of the Reserves Committee. Alfriston Road. —The following tenders were received : P. Joblin, £561 1/5 ; H. and •G. Blank, £547 18/10. It was decided that a tender be accepted with the deletion of work to bring the maximum cost to £550.
