A WOMAN INSPECTOR.
AN EDUCATION EXPERIMENT. MAKING GOOD A PROMISE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday; The Minister of Education stated today that pursuant to a promise made to the women teachers, that when a vacancy occurred in the primary schools inspectorate, an opportunity would be given to a woman, the Commissioner would advertise the next vacancy for an inspector, the applicants to be women. There were two vacancies for high school inspectors, newly-created positions, and one would be given to a woman.
