NOVELIST TAKES CHARGE. A QUEENSLAND ER'S QUEST. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, January 11. A piquant touch has been given to the Queenslande r s search for a wife by the fact that tiie Mayoress of Bath is the novelist Sarah Grand, who is the authoress of the "Heavenly Twins." She is selecting a batch of the most suitable applicants from the hundreds received, and is sending anonymous photographs and typed copies of the applicants' letters to the lonely Queenslander, whose unnamed photograph is being circulated among tlie applicants.— (A. and N.Z.)
