BASKETBALL.
At Blockhouse Bay on Saturday, a basketball' match took place between the Blockhouse Bay Y. W.C.A. Hostel and the Blockhouse Bay Campers. A large number of interested spectators gathered to witness the match, and the play on both sides was excellent. Miss Ingram kindly acted as referee, and, after a hard . contest, the match resulted in a victory for the Campers, the score being 31—12. After the match a social evening was held in the Bay Kiosk, the winning team acting as hostesses. During the evening, Miss C. Thorn, on behalf of the Campers, thanked all those who had helped in making both functions successful. Miss- Mackie, Y.W.C.A., responded, thanking the Campers for ah enjoyable time. An enjoyable evening terminated at 11.30 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and -cheers for I the committee. -
