WINTER EXHIBITION.
RECEIPTS AMOUNT TO £8391.
EXPENDITURE REACHES £4842.
A BALANCE OF £3549.
■ A meeting of the joint committee of the Auckland A. and P. Association and the Auckland Industrial Association was held this afternoon to consider matters in connection with the next winter exhibition. Mr, J, A. C. Allum presided. It was resolved that a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. W. Massey, Allum, Hodge, Hills, Buttle, McArthur and Fbdlay, wait upon the Harbour Board with the object of soliciting that body's assistance for the next winter show.
In connection with the 1925 winter exhibition an interim balance-sheet presented showed that receipts amounted to £8391 2/ and the expenditure £4842 4/11, leaving a balance of £35,48 17/1. Full particulars were as follow: — Receipts.—Gate takings, £3889 14/3, entry fees £254 5/, space £3025 1/6, electric light £178 12/6, sale of timber £471 3/4, sale of butter and cheese £159 12/, advertising rights £83 15/, donations £28 11/2, discount £10 7/3, advances £110; £82J1 2/; accounts outstanding £180; total £8301 2/. Expenditure.—Buildings and fittings £1452 12/9, furnishings and decorations £162 10/6, rent, electric light, crane £687 8/7, wages £317 0/8, motor exhibition, share sale of timber £157 10/3, music, dancing and entertainments £212 0/6, printing and stationery £98 8/2, postages, telegrams, telephones £46 14/, catering £144 15/3, cartinp, freight and duty £134 15/7, prize money, medals, etc., £775 0/8, purchase of butter and cheese £154 8/, advertising £207 10/6, insurance £26 14/, travelling expenses £10 5/, refund advances, etc,, £114, sundries £11 4/3; £4753 ,1/8; accounts owing £88 10/3: total £4842 4/11. It' was decided that the balance be distributed between the A. and P. Association and the Auckland Industrial Association to the extent of £1500 each, the balance to be left at interest at the bank-
A resolution of thanks was passed to Mr. A. D. Stanley, secretary of the A. and P f Association, and his assistants, as well as Mr. J. Findlay and his assistants for the able manner in which they had carried out their duties as secretary and manager respectively.
