WAGES DISPUTE SETTLED.

The National Wages Board has rejected both the railway companies' demand for a reduction in wages and the men's demand for an increase.
Trades union leaders say they a#e satisfied with the award, which will settle the railway position for at least a year.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
