A TERRIBLE TOLL.
SYDNEY, December 10,
The annual report 01 the Public Health Department of New South Wales shows that last year cancer occupied the second highest place in the death list, and -was 9 per cent above the .average of the previous five years.
In the 20 years ended 1924 the death from cancer increased 40 per cent, while the tuberculosis rate 1 decreased 35 per cent.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.).
