A Labour caucus discusssed the alleged Ivationalist plot to bribe certain members of the Labour party, and decided to Call upon the' directors of the Labour daily newspaper in which the statement ■vras first published, to appear before the caucus on Monday and give a full exjplanation.
Colonel M. F. Bruxner has resigned the leadership of the State Country party, and Mr. Buttenshaw has been (elected in his stead.
■ In the Assembly Mr. T. A. Bavin replied to Mr. Lang's Budget speech, which, Bβ said, was unique, inasmuch as It consisted largely of unworthy, shameful personal attacks on men who gave lonourable service to the State.—(A and JJ.Z. Cable.)
