MAGISTRATE COURT FEES.

; MUST BE PAID PROMPTLY. At the opening of the Magistrate's! Court this morning Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., said he had been asked by the Clerk of the- Court to refer to the fact that considerable difficulty had been experienced in connection with the fees being unpaid. In some cases when applications f were made for fees, liability had been denied. It had, therefore, been decided that on and after Monday next, judgment will" not be entered in any case unless the fees are paid. It was unfortunate he had to make these remarks, as perhaps only a few solicitors are the offenders in respect to not promptly paying the Court fees, but it was necessary to take this stand in order to ensure the collection of the Court fees.
