SCHOUWEN* COMING AGAIN". Having been chartered by the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Dutch steamer Schouwen is expected to sail from St. John on January 20, with cargn for discharge at Auckland. A departure from Auckland yesterday afternoon was the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera for Wellington to complete discharge of her Home cargo. Later this vessel will load for her return trip, being scheduled to return to Auckland to fill up. She is expected to sail finally from Auckland on January 2, with passengers and cargo for Southampton and London. THE PORT IIOBART. Telegraphic advice reports the departure from Napier at an early hour this morning of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line's new moter ship Port Hobart, for Auckland. On arrival at 6 a.m. to-morrow the vessel Tvill berth at the Central wharf, vrtiere shj will complete her cargo for London. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co. advise that the Port Hobart will sail finally from Auckland about Tuesday of next week. WAIMANA AT LIVERPOOL. Cable news received at Auckland reports the arrival at Liverpool on Monday of the present week of the Shaw, Savlll, and Albion Line steamer Waimana from New Zealand. The Waimana was held up at Auckland for some -weeks owing to the seamen's strike, but eventually secured a volunteer crew, and proceeded to Southern ports to load. •She returned to this port to fill up, taking her final departure for New York, Boston, and Liverpool on October 20. THE MAHEN'O. On her return trip to Sydney, the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maheno' is to leave Wellington to-morrow. On her recent voyage from Sydney the steamer brought a full complement of passengers, 370 in all. The vessel was ready to leave Sydney at noon on Friday, but some members of the crew failed to put In an appearance. Captain Bold therefore tlpcided to move his ship out to Hose Bay, where anchor was dropped. In the meanwhile, efforts were made to find the missing men, who were finally assembled and conveyed to the Mahcno by launch. The vessel then sailed nt 5.15 p.m. for Wellington. Very, fine weather, with light wins and smooth seas, prevailed for the first two days. Subsequently thick weather was encountered Tnough the sea continued smooth, these conditions obtaining until arrival at Wellington.

The Northern Company announce that trips to Brown's Bay, Arkle'e Bar, and Manly -will be made on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. The Admiralty oil tanker Nucula, which had been at an anchorage in the stream for some -weeks, berthed at the Sheerlegs wharf this Doming. The Richardson steamer Jlako arrived this morning from East Coast and berthed at the Central wharf. This vessel is announced by Messrs. Watkin and Wallls to sail again at 6 p.m. on Saturday. LODIS THERIAULT ABBIVED. An arrival at Thames this morning -was the schooner Louis Theriault from Bunbury. The schooner is loaded Kith a cargo of hardwood. THE DEVON. Bound for London and West Coast of United Kingdom ports, the Federal Line steamer Devon was expected to take her fiDal departure from Auckland at 2 o'clock this afternoon. YACHT KAIMILOA ARRIVED. An arrirnl at Auckland this afternoon was the American pleasure yacht Kaimiloa, from Suva. The yacht, which is owned by Mr. F. K. Kellum, Is on a world cruise. THE KAIKORAI. The Union steamer Kaikorai arrived at Lnutoka from Sydney yesterday morning. She will load fruit at the Islands, and is expected to clear Suva for Auckland to-morrow evening. TOFUA REPORTED. Having left Auckland on Saturday last, the Island steamer Tofua arrived at Suva at 2 p.m. yesterday. She is to leave the Fijian port on Friday for Tonga and Samoa. This vessel is to leave Suva again for Auckland on December 23. THE MIDDLESEX. In continuation of her voyage from West of England ports, the Federal Line steamer Middlesex is now announced to sail for Southern ports early to-morrow. She is berthed at the Queen"s wharf. THE MAUXGiNTI. On her return voyage to Sydney, the Union Company's steamer Maunganul is announced to sail at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. The Maunganui is berthed at the Prince's wharf. WAITOMO LEFT NEWCASTLE. Loaded with a cargo of coal, the Bteanier Waitomo left Newcastle for Auckland at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The above information was contained in a message received by the Union Company this morning. THE TEKOA. For further loading for Home, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Tekoa is expected to leave Auckland for Wellington at midday to-morrow. The Tekoa is taking in her Auckland cargo at the Queen's wharf. THE CITY OF CORINTH. At present unloading New York cargo at the Prince's wharf, the Ellerman Hall Line steamer City of Corinth is to sail on Friday morning for Wellington. Her other discharging parts in.New Zealand are Lyttelton and Dunedln.

THE CUTCOMBE. From New Plymouth to unload the balance of her cargo of phosphate from Nauru Island, the tramp steamer Cuteombe is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow morning. On arrival she will berth at the King's wharf. Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane are the local agents. RUAPEHU REPORTED. En route from London and Southampton, the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruapehu arrived at Colon on December 5, and left Panama on the same date in continuation of her voyage to Wellington. The vessel is expected to arrive at the capital port on December 30. KATOA IN DOCK. For the purpose of undergoing cleaning and painting, the Union Company's steamer ■ Kat-oa tras docked this morning. On Saturday she is to sail for Portland to load cement. She trill return to Auckland on Wednesday to complete her cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dnnedln, Oainaru and Timaru. THE MAHEXO. According to her Christmas timetable, the Intercolonial steamer Maheno is to leave Sydney for Auckland on December 17. She will call at Westport en route. The Walpori cannot be dispatched for Napier and Wellington before noon to-morrow. The Hauraki is announced to sail at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Wellington to continue discharge of her cargo from Pacific Coast ports. The Kaitangata is expectpd to arrive at Tauranga from Greymouth at 0 am to-morrow. From Tauranga she is to come on to Auckland. The Kaimanawa is to load coal at Westport for Auckland to-morrow. The Wainui is announced to call at Tokomaru Bay on her northward trip this week. The Wanaka sailed last night for Southern ports. Th-i Mararoa is to be dispatched as an additional steamer from Wellington for Lyttelton at 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 24. She is to return from the latter port on Christmas Day. - . The Kaituna left Westport for Auckland at an early hour yesterday.

TARANSAY IN PORT. Carrying general cargo loaded at Montreal and Sydney, 8.C.. the chartered steamer Taransay arrived at Auckland at an early hour this morning and anchored in the stream until 9 a.m., when she berthed at the eastern side of the Prince's wharf. The Taransay, which is owned by. the Isles S.S. Co.. of Newcastle, is the first of the line's steamers to visit New Zealand.. The fleet owned by this company once totalled about 30 vessels, the majority of which traded to the East. Aβ a result of th* shipping depression, however, many of the vessels were sold, and the , pennant of the company Is now carried by only six steamers. On her recent voyage theTaransay, which was built about six years ago, proceeded from England to Sydney in ballast and commenced loading her cargo. Owing to unfavourable weather, cargo operations at the latter port were delayed for ten days. From Sydney the vessel proceeded to Montreal for final- loading and took her departure from that port. She arrived at Colon on November 10 . and obtained trans.it through the Panama Canal the same day. The weather in the Pacific was fine and the voyage to this port was completed without incident. The Taransay, which is under the local agency of the New Zealand Shipping is expected to sail on- Tuesday for Southern and Australian ports to unload the balance of her cargo. ■ '. ' . KAWAU'S TIME-TABLE AI/TERED. _An alteration in the running of the Northern Company's steamer Kawau is announced. This vessel will now sail for Mangawat on Friday instead of Mondays. In order to take up this running, the steamer is announced to sail at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Her next trip to Mangawai will then be made on the following Friday. The Kawau is also announced to make her weekly trip to Big Omaha on Mondays instead of Wednesdays. She is to sail for that place at 10 a.in. on Monday.
