PUKEKOHE NEWS.

The sixth annual ball of the Pnkekohe returned soldiers was held in the Strand Theatre ,on Monday evening, when there were about 120 couples present. The hall v>as tastefully decorated. Excellent dance music was supplied by Hulme's orchestra. Shortly after S.lo p.m. the grand march, led by, Captain G. Dittmer, M.C-, N'.Z.S.C. and Mrs. Dittmer. rook place. The duties of masters of ceremonies were efficiently discharged by Messrs. TV. J. Short. F. J. Duncan. X Sfuart, F. .1. Brown,-, and T. H. Home. A dainty supper added to the success of the evening. Special praise is due to the ladies' committee, -who made all arrangpments. and to the secretary, .Mr. H J Short. ;
