MR. ANDREW REID.
(By Telegraph.— On-n Correspondent* HAMILTON, this day. Still another sturdy old pioneer has passed away in the person of Mr. AndrewReid, of Tuhikaramea, aged 90 years. He was a native of Scotland, and came out to this country 60 years ago. Mr. Reid remained on the same farm at Tuhikaramea for 50 years until his death. The late Mr. Reid, who was predeceased by his wife 46 years ago, was one of, nature's gentlemen, kind, unassuming, earnest, and thorouoghly genuine. It is doubtful if he ever made an enemy during his life. He was for years chairman of the local school committee, and a member of the Tuhikaramea Road Board. The children are Messrs. Walter Reid (Taneatua), Stewart Reid (Tuhikaramea, Waipa County chairman), Neil Reid (Tuhikaramea), Mrs. Graham (To Puke), Mrs. C. Alexander (Mangapehi), Mrs. Glasson (Hairini).
