THE FIRST CONFERENCE.

REORGANISED LATTER DAY SAINTS. The first conference of the Reorganised Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints opened at their headquarters, 42, Leslie Avenue, Morningside, yesterday. This church has no identity with "the Mormon Church. Elder J. H. 2sT. Jones presided, and there were representatives from the South Island, country districts, and also visitors from Australia. The object of the conference is to. unify the forces of the church in New Zealand, and bring the church membership into closer relationship with each other. The conference was called to order by j Elder J. H. N. Jones at S-p.m., and reports from missionaries labouring in New Zealand received. The evening session was a lantern lecture by Elder Bamore, of Australia. The conference will be continued to-day and to-morrow, as advertised.
