WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

ROBOTS SHOULDER IWJXTRED. iIATCH OFF TILL DECEMBER. On account of an injury sustained by Ike Robin in training with. Ranga on Thursday, following nis first bout the previous night with 11. A. Sunni, the conclusion of the match with Sunni for the Ne-w Zealand championship and a stake of £1400 has been postponed till a date in December to be arranged by the New Zealand Wrestling Association. This decision was arrived at by the committee of the association this "morning. The circumstances are that on Wednesday night Robin obtained the first fall after a gruelling .bout lasting till just on midnight, when it waa too late to continue immediately with the other bouts. The association decided next day to have the match continued on Saturday night, and then Robin made application for a postponement on the ground that he had injured an arm in training, and supported this with a medical certificate from Dr. Wilkin. The association had an independent examination made by Dr. W. H. Horton and Dr. T. H. Pettit, who certified that Robin's left shoulder was so severely strained that he could not wrestle for some time. The shoulder was X-rayed, and it was found that no boni>9 were broken. This morning- the Wrestling Association considered the matter at a special meeting, when it was intimated that Robin's injury was sustained while training in contest with Ranga on Thursday morning. The testimony of the medical men wae definite that "Robin has sustained a severe and painful strain. After hearing their solicitors on the petition, the committee decided to declare void the fall obtained by Robin on Wednes-day,-and to postpone the inateh till a date in December, to be fixed later, when the match will be started de novo, Robin to allow Sunni £15 as training expenses incurred in connection with a bout already wrestled. Tn addition, the contract for the next meeting of the two wrestlers is to be drawn up in such a way that the match must be completed on the date arranged.
