It was eight o'clock in the evening. and Peter did not want to go to bed It mast be confessed that he had even shed a few tears, because he was just a teeny bit afraid of the shadow that danced about on the landing and oa the wall of his nursery. As soon as Peter was in bed and asleep the shadow crept in to his dreams. Xobody knows how he g o t there, but Peter was never afraid°of him in dreams.
